Work Orders

DVP has a Service Manager module which allows you to create, edit and print service work orders and post expenses to vehicle files. Work orders can be created for both external clients and internal clients (inventory vehicles).

Selecting Service and Parts Manager from the MAIN MENU and then selecting Open Service and Parts Manager (or clicking the Service/Parts Manager button in the MAIN WINDOW ) opens the work orders window which allows you to search/create/edit/delete service work orders. Work orders can be saved and retrieved. The opening window will display all the work orders saved.

You can search work orders by last name, home phone, VIN number, license plate or stock number (for internal vehicles). Enter the search text (in full or part) in the corresponding text box in the left pane and click the search button.

To edit/modify a work order select the work order from the list and click Edit Order button.

To delete a work order select the work order to be deleted and click the Delete Order button.

To update the status of a work order select the work order to be updated and click the Update Status button. In the resulting window select the new status and update. Alternatively you can also right click on a particular work order to dispaly a short cut menu to change the status. The current status will be indicated by a tick mark. Select the new status from the short cut menu.
